A wonderful time to be in Monaco to see red and white flags flying to celebrate the Prince's Saint Day. Activities include spectacular fireworks over the port the night before and a mass in the Cathedral the next morning. This is an opportunity to see the pomp and circumstance of the Principality. The Knights of Malta, distinguished ambassadors, consuls and state officials are decked out in medal-laden uniforms as they congregate in the Place St. Nicolas after the mass. Follow the pageantry to the Place du Palais. At 11:30 AM you will see the royal family wave to the onlookers from the windows of the palace and then present loyal and deserving subjects with such honors, as the Order of St. Charles medal. A grand national holiday.
